Probably The Easiest Pizza In The World

P295

Ingredients:

Fresh Ciabatta (or other) rolls
Jar of nice pasta tomato sauce (I used Seeds of Change organic tomato and basil)
Grated hard cheese (I'm using mature cheddar)
Ham
Lettuce

Preheat grill to medium hot
Split rolls in half.
Pour a generous glug of olive oil over each half.
Spread a couple teaspoons of sauce on top then sprinkle generously with cheese.
Grill for about 5 mins
Then (optional!) place a slice of ham and some lettuce on top of your piping hot pizza for some added flavour and texture :)
Finally, taking your time, savour.

Absolutely OUT OF THIS WORLD.

The life of Gü

Ugh.
I am sorely regretting the two delicious, voluptuous, enticing Gü puddings I foolishly tucked into about 4 hours ago +_+ (....talk about the long term consequences of instant gratification!)
A few months ago I claimed I'd "lost my sweet tooth" - except I had no-one fooled did I?!!?! Hmmmmmmm. What a resounding success THAT turned out to be! I have been eating all sorts of sugary things these past few days - and feel terrible, yet find it almost impossible to stop myself... :(
So its back to the drawing board, once more.
Maybe, just MAYBE... one day I'll crack this thing?

Family :)

P281

Am loving having these guys to stay, it's short but oh so delicious!!
The little fella is the closest to perfect one could ever wish a small child to be, with folds of soft, plump, kissable, pink skin in all the right places... He bellows with laughter at farty sounds, so one can be blowing raspberries for hours on end and still get rewarded with the beautiful sound of fresh peels of giggles every time.
A true, rare delight.
We are watching Despicable Me. And laughing.

Too clever for words

It's the yellow one...

...that's driving me insane tonight.
Bossy, fickle little shit.

Yesterday and A Lifetime Ago

P250

It was 15 years ago to the day that I married my adorable Mr Wibbs.
I don't feel all that much older than I was back then, yet I also feel like a completely different, new person. It feels like yesterday yet also like a whole lifetime ago. How does that work!?! It's the mystery of life and marriage, a strange and beautiful paradox.
The other mystery is that, somehow, in marriage the 1+1=1 formula is true. I would say our three incredible, gorgeous boys represent that formula quite accurately...which makes me all warm inside :)
I won't say too much more, except this one thing: the vows one makes at the altar on That Day ARE FOR LIFE; there is no get out clause!!
Mark and I didn't understand what we meant when we promised "for better for worse" 15 years ago. But that promise, to me, completely sums up marriage - and to keep it requires patience, perseverance, and obedience. And faith.
And love.
Love of a different, deeper, more messy kind.
Real, sometimes-painful love.
Indescribable, unconditional, heaven-sent love.

We are learning.
Slowly but surely.

I really wonder what my reflections will be in another 15 years... What a relief I can't read into the future! I'm glad we get to live this today, here, now. And I'm so glad we get to share this life adventure Together. So - Happy Anniversary my darling!! For better for worse :) xxx

A Happy Day in History

Hubby is sunburnt - sign of a good, productive day off :)
I ache all over from all my digging and scraping and rock-carrying in the garden, my arms are so scratched from pulling weeds that I reckon people might start to worry about the state of my mental health... (am definitely wearing long sleeves tomorrow)!!
My poorly one is sleeping peacefully thanks to his humidifier - and a successful course of antibiotics, started yesterday. This, tonight, is much contributing to a general sense of well being and satisfaction and purpose
the big boy arrived safely on Hayling Island - strange to know he's away ALL WEEK... still it's so nice and quiet!!!
And the little one - well he's just bumbling along, even in his sleep...he felt highly hard done by for being The Only One To Go To School today. Don't think any permanent damage will have been sustained from this Awfully Unfair Situation, but still, I felt it was only right to make up for it with Jelly Bellys Jelly Beans :)
A happy day in history indeed.

Nothing quite compares...

....to three little surf dudes enjoying beach time on a spotless sunny Saturday in July :)
I cant deny it: my boys are Hard Work but when surrounded by sand and water, they are so completely in their element that they are an utter joy to behold...

Little things that make me happy

Treating myself to a large cappuccino and a raspberry and almond slice at Costa.
My boys, finally able to all ride their bikes together...
Blue wild flowers.
Rows of old colourful fishing boats
Flip-flop Wearing :)
Edible flowers in the most stunning organic vegetable garden I have ever seen...
For these little beautiful things, God I thank you.
